My role as a student affairs professional is to always advocate for students success and promote the best practices that will assist them in persisting towards their goals. Through the relationships I cultivate, I will help students promote their own self-discovery while growing socially, academically, emotionally, spiritually and personally. I will always advocate for social justice and doing what is right. I believe education has the ability to empower individuals and assist them in finding their purpose in life. I have confidence in student affairs professionals to help students channel that empowerment into celebrating civic responsibility, life-long learning, diversity, and creativity. Therefore, I will promote these concepts in my daily practice. Attending college can be a life changing experience and thus, I will commit to helping students process their experiences in college to build a promising future for themselves and future generations.
